Messaging & Chatbots

In Malawi the conversation happens on WhatsApp and the money moves on Airtel Money or Mpamba. A system that ignores that is a system your customers have to work around.

Sound familiar?

What this fixes

If any of these are true, this is the page you want.
  • Enquiries come in on WhatsApp at 21:00 and get answered on Monday.

  • Customers want to pay by Airtel Money and we have to check the SMS by hand.

  • Three staff reply from the same number and contradict each other.

What you get

Included

WhatsApp Business

Automated replies, order updates, booking confirmations and payment reminders sent where people will actually read them.

Airtel Money and TNM Mpamba

Take payment on the platforms your customers already have, with the transaction recorded against the order automatically.

Chatbots with a handover

The bot handles the routine questions and passes a real person the name, the number and the context the moment it matters.

One thread, not four

Enquiries from the website, WhatsApp and the phone landing in the same place, so nothing is answered twice or not at all.

Watch an order complete on WhatsApp

A scripted run through a real order — enquiry, stock check, order, mobile money, confirmation — with the stock and the books updating themselves at the end.

Blantyre Hardware

Business account

Press play to watch an order complete.

Simulation — nothing is sent

What just happened

Six messages, no app to install, no account to create — and by the end the stock is down, the sale is recorded and the receipt is filed. That is the whole point of building on WhatsApp here: it is where the conversation already happens.

  1. Stock answered from the real system

"84 bags in stock" is not typed by a person — it is read from the same inventory the till uses, so it cannot be out of date.

  2. The order is created in the conversation

No separate form, no callback. The customer says a quantity and there is an order number.

  3. Payment via Airtel Money or Mpamba

A payment request goes to the phone they are already holding. The transaction is matched to the order automatically rather than someone checking an SMS by hand.

  4. The system updates itself

Stock reduced, sale recorded, receipt filed. Nobody re-types anything into a spreadsheet at the end of the day.

This is a scripted simulation, not a live WhatsApp connection — nothing is sent and no payment is taken. The flow is the one we build; going live needs a WhatsApp Business account and merchant access from Airtel or TNM, which we set up as part of the work.
