TekXpat ERP
Accounting, stock, sales and customers on Odoo Community, set up for Rwandan and Malawian tax — including Rwanda’s EBM invoicing, which is in testing and not yet certified.
Building this now. Nobody is using it for real yet. First customers help shape it and get founding pricing.
The problem
What this is actually for
Sales are in one book, stock is in a spreadsheet, and the accountant reconciles the two at month end.
In Rwanda every sale needs an EBM receipt, and the EBM software does not talk to anything else you use.
The well-known ERP systems charge per user, per month, in foreign currency.
Each new branch or shop gets its own copy of the spreadsheet, and the copies stop agreeing within a week.
Who it is for

See it
Shown running, on a demo company
An ERP is too large to squeeze into a browser demo honestly. On a call we open a demo company and work through it with you.
What we would show you
- Invoicing, stock, purchasing and customers in Odoo, with TekXpat’s setup on top
- The Malawi chart of accounts and VAT at 17.5%
- A Rwandan invoice signed through EBM, with the tax block printed on it — against our own test VSDC, not RRA’s
Test data throughout. Nothing we show you is a real customer’s record.
Where it stands
What is built, and what is not
The left column exists and we can show it to you running. The right does not exist yet.
Built
- Odoo 19 Community, which carries no per-user licence fee — no Enterprise modules, by rule
- Malawi accounting: chart of accounts and VAT at 17.5%, in MWK
- Rwanda accounting with RRA’s tax types
- Rwanda EBM: device setup, item registration, TIN checks, and invoices, refunds and copies signed through a VSDC — tested against our own simulated VSDC only
- Backup and restore scripts, and automated tests for every module
Not built yet
- Testing against RRA’s own EBM sandbox — we are waiting on RRA for access
- RRA certification. Until it is certified, nobody can use it for real EBM invoicing
- Malawi electronic invoicing with MRA — planned, not started
- Mobile money payments recorded against invoices
- Several businesses hosted on one shared setup, each with its own private data
- A live deployment. No business runs on it yet
The order these get built in is not fixed. It is one of the things a first customer gets a say in.
Be one of the first to use it
TekXpat ERP is not finished, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What early customers get is real influence over what gets built and in what order, founding pricing that we will not raise on you, and us on the end of a phone. What we get is someone telling us where it is wrong.
Not this one? The other six — or tell us what you actually need.
